   individual in context. For example, personal information includes, among other things, your name, address, email address, telephone number, credit card information, site

• “Site, Courses, Services, and/or Products” means www.healingcorner.ca, content, email list, social media posts, blog posts, courses, coaching services, products guides,

The Owner of this Site, The Healing Corner with Katya and its directors, agents, employees and affiliates assume no responsibility or liability for any consequence resulting directly or indirectly from any action or inaction you take based on any and all of the information found on the Site or material linked to this Site.

You understand that if you withdraw your consent, The Healing Corner with Katya may not be able to continue to offer its services and provide its information to you.

5.1  What do we collect?
The Healing Corner with Katya may directly collect your name, address, phone number and email address. There may be other information you provide but that will not be collected by The Healing Corner with Katya and instead will be collected by the third parties The Healing Corner with Katya works with as outlined in 4.4.  

5.2  Email.
We may send you a newsletter or other promotional materials through email. We will only contact you through our newsletter for promotional or informational purposes. Subscribing to our newsletters is optional and you will always be able to unsubscribe.  

5.3  Phone Number.
We may collect your phone number and we may contact you via phone to contact you or if we feel there is information which would be beneficial to share with you. In accordance with everything outlined in this Privacy Policy, if you do not want to be reached by phone, you can ask us not to contact you via phone or you can choose not to share your phone number.

The Healing Corner with Katya may work with third party applications in order to provide you with the best services on the Site. These organizations may collect Personal Information from you in order to provide you with the services, including your name and contact information. 6. How will The Healing Corner with Katya use your Personal Information?
Your Personal Information will be used to provide you with promotional and informative materials and offers and deliver the products and services you can purchase or subscribe to from the Site. Specifically:

6.1. Your credit card information will not be kept by The Healing Corner with Katya but instead by one of the third parties listed in section 5.4 above;

6.2. Your name and e-mail address are collected but will not actually be stored on the Site. Any information captured will be processed through third party websites in section 5.4 above;

6.3. Your phone number may be used to contact you via phone if there is information we would like to share which we feel would benefit you;

6.4. If you subscribe to our newsletter your Personal Information will be used to send the newsletter to you; 

6.5. If we send you the Newsletter for marketing purposes, we will send you emails about promotions, special events and other information. You can opt not to receive these emails from us by either clicking “unsubscribe” at the bottom of the email when you receive it or by sending an email that includes your email address and a request that you not receive our promotional emails.

6.6.  We may use your Personal Information to respond when you submit a question or suggestion to us, or when you request assistance regarding a service or product you purchased.

6.7. We may share your information if we believe, in good faith, that disclosure of your information is required to protect your safety or the safety of others, to investigate a fraud, or to respond to a government, judicial or other legal request or to comply with the law;

The Healing Corner with Katya web service may store your Personal Information when you interact with the Site. The Healing Corner with Katya will be happy to delete any of your Personal Information that it holds upon a written request made by you. Your Personal Information will be safely disposed of by The Healing Corner with Katya.

Your phone number will be kept in the phone or contacts database of The Healing Corner with Katya and associates. Wherever it is stored, it will always be protected with a password and will never be shared with third parties without your permission

The Healing Corner with Katya currently does not recognize or respond to browser-initiated Do Not Track (DNT) signals, as the Internet industry is currently still working on Do Not Track standards and there is no accepted standard on how to respond to such signals.

The Site keeps the following information from your visits to our webpage: 

11.1. Visitor information to improve our customer engagement which tells us where and when people visit the Site and how long they stay there; and  

11.2. IP information for website and server security. 

 

12. Cookies
The Site uses ‘cookies’ to keep a record of the number of times you’ve visited the Site and how you interacted with the Site during each visit. In addition to this, the Site also uses cookies which are not absolutely essential for your use of the Site. Your continued use of the Site serves as consent for these cookies.

In the event that The Healing Corner with Katya changes its practices, you will be notified and you will be able to opt-out of The Healing Corner with Katya using your Personal Information by contacting us at healingcornercare@gmail.com. 

 

14. Choice of Laws and Venue
This Privacy Policy and the use of the Site are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario. The parties agree to irrevocably submit all claims to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Province of Ontario. If a dispute arises, we agree to first resolve it through arbitration to take place in the Province of Ontario.

Online transactions are completed using third party applications outlined in section 4.4 above. Please refer to the third parties’ privacy policies, of which links have been provided above, for clarification on how your transaction and Personal Information will be handled. The Healing Corner with Katya makes no promises, warranties or representations about the manner in which your Personal Information is handled by third parties and bears no liability whatsoever for their use of them. 

 

17. Verifying your Identity
The Healing Corner with Katya will ask you to verify your identity when you contact us or submit a request regarding your Personal Information. The Healing Corner with Katya will ask you to provide sufficient information that allows us to reasonably verify that you are the person who we collected Personal Information about.

The internet is, by its nature, inherently open and subject to interception of information. We cannot guarantee that the information you provide to The Healing Corner with Katya over the internet or otherwise will not be intercepted by third parties while it is being communicated by means that are outside of The Healing Corner with Katya’s control.

You are also responsible for any actions which occur through the use of your username/password, whether completed by you directly or through the use of your account. You shall notify us immediately by email at healingcornercare@gmail.com of any unauthorized use of your login information or any other security breach. Please log out at the end of each session to prevent any unauthorized use of your account or login information. 

 

You may not share your username/password or login information with anyone other than yourself. We are not responsible or liable for any loss or damages as a result of your failure to protect your login information or your unauthorized sharing of same.

 

21. Fair Information Practices:

In order to comply with Fair Information Practices we will take the following responsive action, should a data breach occur:

We will notify you via email within 30 business days of any known breach.

 

22. CAN-SPAM Act of 2003:

The CAN-SPAM Act is a U.S. law which establishes rules for commercial email messages, gives you the right to stop certain commercial emails from being sent to you, and outlines certain penalties for commercial entities or persons who violate the law.

 

We collect your email address and name so we can:

• Send information, respond to inquiries, and/or other requests or questions.

• Process orders and to send information and updates pertaining to orders of a course, product, or service.

• Send you additional information related to your course, product and/or service.

• Market to our mailing list or continue to send emails to you after the original transaction has occurred.

• Email you a newsletter with free information and advertising certain Products, Services, and/or Courses we offer.

 

In accordance with the CAN-SPAM Act, we agree to the following:

• We WILL NOT use false or misleading subjects or email addresses.

• We WILL NOT identify the email message as an advertisement in some reasonable way.

• We WILL NOT include our business mailing address and/or physical address in our emails.

• We WILL NOT monitor third-party email marketing services for compliance. We use healingcornercare@gmail.com to send our emails to
  you.

• We WILL NOT honor opt-out/unsubscribe requests quickly.

• We WILL NOT allow users to unsubscribe by using the appropriate link at the bottom of each email.

If at any time you would like to unsubscribe from receiving future emails, you can email us at healingcornercare@gmail.com or follow the instructions at the bottom of any email you receive from us and we will promptly remove you from future correspondence(s). However, unsubscribing from one list or set of emails may not unsubscribe you from receiving ALL future emails from us. If you experience any problems unsubscribing, please email healingcornercare@gmail.com and we will promptly handle your removal.

 

23. Your General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR") Rights

If you are located within the European Union ("EU"), you are entitled to certain rights under the GDPR. You have the right to:

• Know how long we'll keep your information. We'll keep your personal information until you either ask us to delete your information. 

• Access, rectify or erase your personal information.

• Withdraw your consent to the Company's processing of your data, which shall have no effect on the lawfulness of the processing of your
  personal information prior to your withdrawal.

• Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority that has jurisdiction over GDPR issues.

• Provide only your personal information which is reasonably required to enter into a contract with us. The Company will not ask for your
  consent to provide unnecessary personal information on the condition of entering into a contractual relationship with the Company.
